What Are “Times Talks”?
June 10 at 9:01 a.m.
Times Talks are open conversations about important and controversial issues in the
news, and are part of Santa Fe’s efforts to promote greater civic engagement on campus.
They are an opportunity for students, faculty members, and other members of the college
community to sit as equals and exchange views on important issues in a casual, informal,
and civil environment. Times Talks are moderated each time by a different volunteer
faculty or student facilitator. These events provide a wonderful opportunity to participate
in the sort of vigorous and engaging discussion of important issues that is needed
in a democracy.
The next Times Talks event will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Subject to be announced.
