New Public Safety Books Provided to Santa Fe College's Little School
June 9, 2016
The Santa Fe College Police Department worked with Little School and purchased about 20 "public safety" books for the school to use with the kids. Little School created a dedicated section for these books which cover various topics such as weather, fire, vehicles, strangers, police etc.
Police dispatcher Kate Flippen researched a good cross section of age-appropriate books and Office Supervisor Helen Legall handled finance & ordering for the books. These books can be used anytime by Little School. Police officers who periodically visit can choose which ones to read.
Dispatcher Kate Flippen took time out this week to read to some of the Little School students. As can be seen by the picture above, they were all very attentive and enjoyed their public safety lesson.
