May 23, 1993 – SFCC Zoo's Asian Small-Clawed Otters have 4 offspring.
May 24, 2005 – The Gainesville Sun reports SFCC gets $300,000 donation, $500,000 federal grant needed to finish planetarium.
May 25, 2005 – The Thomas Hotel, see Thomas Center History for more information, is gaining new life as temporary classrooms for SFJC, which has outgrown its present facilities at the former BJHS.
May 26, 1968 – The Gainesville Sun reports 20 members of the Afro-American Student Association of SFJC painted and planted grass during a cleanup project at a nursery at 408 NW 5 Ave.
May 28, 1992 – Dual Enrollment lets students go to high school and SFCC at the same time.
