May 15, 1991 – SFCC trustees concerned about harm tuition hike may have.
May 15, 2003 - More than 100 people gather at SFCC to watch the moon move from silver to black to red during a lunar eclipse today. This is the first total lunar eclipse since 2001.
May 16, 1987 – 4,898 students attending classes at Santa Fe, up 237 over 1986.
May 16, 1999 – Gainesville Sun runs story on Rosewood traveling exhibit which begins stay at SFCC downtown center.
May 17, 1994 – SFCC approves $36 million budget.
May 17, 1994 - Dance Theatre of SFCC presents Elements of Style at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts today. This is an annual showcase of faculty-choreographed work. A 23-minute ballet "Quotations" by Alberto Alonso and Robert Brill memorializes the horror of Sept 11 and reflects on its aftermath.
May 18, 1969 – The Gainesville Sun runs a story on SFJC students who see a need for draft reform.
May 21, 1995 – Santa Fe Zoo to expand, improve, create larger reptile house.
