DAYTONA TAKES TWO FROM SAINTS FASTPITCH, 9-0 AND 10-9

Daytona State College took a pair of games from the Santa Fe Saints on Tuesday afternoon in Daytona, winning game one 9-0 and game two 10-9 in extra innings.
After a rough first game that saw Daytona win in five innings, the Saints bats came alive in game two. They scored nine runs over the first five innings, including six in the fifth to build a 9-3 lead. The Falcons rallied late however, plating three in the sixth, and three more in the seventh to send the game to extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth, Daytona scored a run to walk off with the win.
The Saints (21-29, 7-15 MFC) still remain in the FCSAA Tournament chase, trailing fourthplace Jacksonville by just a game with two to go. They are tied for fifth with St. John's River State who they will host on Thursday, April 14 at 2:30p.m. and 4:30 p.m..
