Saints bounce back to earn split with SCF

February 15, 2016

Game one of a double header with the State College of Florida didn't go how the Santa Fe Saints Fastpitch team intended, but SF bounced back in a big way to split the double header with a 1-0 win. The Manatees took game one 12-5.

Santa Fe (5-5) started the first game about as well as a team could, scoring five runs in the first inning, paced by a three run homer from Keysha Gordon.

SCF scored three in the second after a two run first to tie the game at 5-5 and added seven runs in a big third for a 12-5 advantage. Neither team would score the rest of the way.

The second game was a different story as Autumn Green scattered six hits and led the Saints to a 1-0 victory, striking out seven Manatee batters in the process. The lone run of the game came via an RBI from Adrix Paradiso Ramos in the second inning.

The Saints will continue at home on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. against Tallahassee CC.
