Faculty, make your voice heard

January 19, 2016

As many of you know, Santa Fe College is a board member of the League for Innovation in the Community College, and because of our leadership status in the league, we have been invited to take part in a national project focusing on faculty perspectives on student completion. The project called, "Faculty Voices," wants to hear faculty views on topics relevant to the national push toward student completion, and it is funded by the Gates Foundation.

On Thursday, Jan. 28, SF will host Dr. Marcia Pfeiffer, a president from the St. Louis Community College district, who will facilitate three informal sessions with faculty throughout the day (at 9 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.) on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit the sign-up portal to register.

Please come and share your views: too much emphasis on student success and completion? Not enough? Too many Gates-funded pushes to add technology? Not enough emphasis on student learning? This is a great opportunity for all faculty to share their views in a way that will make a difference on the national stage.
