Enjoy "An Evening of Jazz" at Fine Arts Hall Nov. 19, 2015

Santa Fe College student musicians under the direction of Music Professor Steve Bingham, Ph.D., will present "An Evening of Jazz" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, in the Fine Arts Hall at the Northwest Campus, 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville.
Tickets are $15 main floor and $12 balcony for adults; $9 for seniors, children and University of Florida students; and free for Santa Fe College faculty, staff and students with college identification cards. This is the college's ninth annual "Evening of Jazz" and this year's musical selections feature a variety of big band, jazz combo, and rhythm and blues tunes including include Miles Davis' "All Blues" and "Yardbird Suite" by Charlie Parker, as well as 15 other songs that are sure to delight audience members of all ages.
In the past, bands from SF College have performed at Carnegie Hall, Epcot, Florida's Lakeside Jazz Festival and CityWalk Universal Studios. The college's bands also tour high schools throughout North Central Florida.
"An Evening of Jazz" is sponsored in part by the SF College Fine Arts Department and the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture and Visit Gainesville, a Tourist Development Tax Grant from the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners in conjunction with the Alachua County Tourist Development Council.
