Edwards, Brown lead Saints Men's Basketball to opening night win

The Santa Fe men (1-0) started their season off on the right foot on Friday night
in Gainesville, defeating Game on Rise Academy 92-76 in front of a large opening night
crowd on Dunkoween.
The Saints struggled in the first half to get anything going and trailed at the break
42-35 after shooting 39% from the field and hit just 1-of-8 three-pointers.
SF turned things around in the second half, outscoring Game on Rise 57 to 34 over the final 20 minutes. Leo Edwards scored 14 of his game high 19 points in the final frame, and Alex Brown had 14 of his 17 in the second half.
In all five players scored in double figures. Benjy Dumornay joined Brown and Edwards with 13 points, LaBrian Shiflet had 12, and Alphonso Brown scored 11.
Santa Fe will head out on the road on Halloween Day, battling Indian River State College in Fort Pierce at 4 p.m.
