Santa Fe College will host a delegation of six judges and attorneys from Kazakhstan who will be visiting the United States as part of the Open World program, one of the most effective U.S. exchange programs for countries of the post-Soviet era.

On Tuesday, April 14 at 3:30 p.m. in WA-104, these guests will share their insights on how their country's legal system and the rule of law has helped curb corruption, strengthen judicial independence, and strengthen democracy since the country's break from the Soviet Union in December 1991.

Then on Wednesday, April 15, the delegation will visit SF's Institute of Public Safety for a tour of the facility and demonstrations of various programs including EMS. The delegation will also be introduced to IPS's firing range training, ASO SWAT and the BearCat armored car, and the ShandsCair helicopter will make an appearance.
