Krishna Club sponsors guest speaker Nov. 20 at SF
November 19, 2014
On Thursday Nov. 20, 2014, guest speaker Dr. Frank Orlando will be bridging the gap between the ancient wisdom that originates from India and our modern medical world. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. in room P-260.
"Embryology is the science of embryonic development from ovum fertilization to the fetus. Theories of western embryology begin as far back as Aristotle in the 4th century BCE, include more recent great Italian anatomists such as Leonardo da Vinci, and finally yield to biologists' microscopy in the 19th century. However, the Vedic concept of embryology dates back 5,000 years ago, encrypted in Sanskrit, and remarkably parallels that of modern microscopic anatomy. How can this be? If Vedic science has already accurately described such an esoteric field of human development long before technology made it possible to confirm such truths, what do the Vedas help one realize about the spiritual meaning behind acquiring such knowledge?"
