Enjoy Jazz on the Grove today

The annual celebration of Jazz and Student Leadership collaboration is scheduled for
this Thursday, Oct. 30, from noon-1:30 p.m. on SF's Northwest Campus at the "Grove
Stage." SLA offers free pizza on a first come first served basis as long as the pies
hold up.
The stage will feature all three Jazz and R&B bands from Santa Fe College! First the
Santa Fe Big Band will perform from Noon-12:30 pm. They will feature two vocalists
fromLynn Sandefur's vocal studios Tom Lewis -who will sing "Fly me to the Moon" and
Alix Williams who will sing "Almost like Being in love" the band will perform other
charts like Count Basie's "Count Me In," Don Menza's "Groovin Hard," and many others!
Next up the Santa fe Jazz Combo- will feature tunes like "TAke the A-Train," YardBird
Suite," "Angel Eyes" and others. And Finally the Santa Fe Rhythm and Blues Band- featuring
Artyssa Grant and Alex Cervinka on vocals- as they will perform many Mo-Town favorites-"Ain't
to Proud to Beg," "Blue Bayou," and "Shake Your Tail Feather" So come on out and enjoy
the show and free food.
Musicians United (SF's only music club) will be conducting a bake sale to coincide
