Musical Evening brings together SF vocalists and instrumentalists Nov. 20

The Fine Arts Instrumental and Vocal Department have teamed together for 9 years to bring the "Evening of Jazz Concert" to the students. staff and the public. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Fine Arts Hall.

The bands will perform such great jazz hits like Charlie Parker's "Perdido" & "Yardbird Suite," Billy Strayhorn's "Take the A-Train," Don Menza's "Groovin Hard," Basie's "Count Me In," Lerner and Loewe's "Almost Like Being in Love," Howard's "Fly Me To The Moon." The Santa Fe Rhythm and Blues Band will perform a few familiar Mo-Town hits like Whitfiled's "Ain't To Proud to Beg" Eddie Floyd's "Knock on Wood" and Roy Orbison's "Blue Bayou."

It will be a fun night as singers and instrumentalist combine to perform many memorable jazz and R & B hits. All band are directed by Steve "Doc" Bingham.
