Saints Roll past Eastern Florida in straight sets

October 20, 2014

The FCSAA #4/NJCAA #16 Santa Fe Saints (25-4, 6-2 MFC) played a non-conference match against Eastern Florida State College on Saturday afternoon, and made quick work of Eastern Florida State College, winning in straight sets 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.

"Ruth Harrington was huge for us today," said SF Coach Nick Cheronis.  "Her stats were one thing, but it was her leadership that was the biggest difference.  I don't think we win 3-0 without that."

Harrington led all players with 13 kills, and also pitched in 13 digs for a double double.  Farah Rajaee had 35 assists and Ann-Lorrayne Bzoch had a team high 14 digs.

The Saints will continue conference play on Tuesday, October 21 against Lake Sumter at home at 7 p.m.  They will then take to the road for their final MFC contest against Central Florida on Thursday, October 23 at 7 p.m.
