Five students at Santa Fe College will receive $1,250 in textbook scholarships from Follett Higher Education Group as a part of the All-USA Community College Academic Team program, which is sponsored by Follett, presented by USA TODAY, with additional support provided by Phi Theta Kappa and the American Association of Community Colleges.  Follett Textbook Scholarships of $250 are awarded to the following five students:

  • Scott Cutshall
  • Jose Delgado
  • Nicolette Lyon
  • Victoria Swander
  • Emily Nevarez-Santiago

These scholarship awards are presented in recognition of the opportunities for excellence at Santa Fe College as demonstrated by the selection of Christian Keen as a member of the 2014 All-USA Community College Academic Team. From over 1,700 nominations from community college presidents, twenty students were selected for the All-USA Community College Academic Team with each receiving a $2,500 scholarship and medallion. These students are featured in the USA TODAY newspaper and resented at Phi Theta Kappa's Presidents Breakfast held during the American Association of Community Colleges' Annual Convention. In addition, each of their colleges received $1,250 in textbook scholarships to be awarded locally.

Follett provides $125,000 of student support through the All-USA Community College Academic Team program, including $25,000 in textbook scholarships awarded to the colleges of students selected as members of this prestigious team.  Follett currently serves students at more than 980 bookstores across the country and has partnered with more community colleges than any other operator in the country.
