SF Respiratory Care Program receives national award

June 11, 2014

Santa Fe College's Respiratory Care Program has been awarded the distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) which oversees all respiratory care educational programs in the U.S.

The CoARC Board selected SF's Respiratory Care program for the award based on (1) having three or more years of outcome data; (2) holding accreditation without a progress report; (3) documenting RRT credentialing success of 90 percent or above, and (4) exceeding established CoARC thresholds for CRT credentialing success, attrition and job placement. Of approximately 440 programs in the country, just 37, including SF's, met these criteria.

CoARC extends its sincere congratulations to Santa Fe College faculty, students and graduates for meeting the rigorous criteria. The award will be presented at the 2014 AARC Summer Forum.
