Seeking Summer Plunge day of service event staff and site leaders

May 29, 2014

Summer Plunge is a single-day event where UF, SF and community volunteers reach out to various areas of Gainesville to participate in exciting service projects.

Santa Fe College Office of Civic Engagement and Service (OCES) is seeking students, faculty and staff to work as Summer Plunge event staff for this event. Duties may include attending planning meetings, carrying out pre-event planning projects, running registration tables; liaising with site groups, etc. To register as an SF College Event Day Staff Member, contact Kimberly Buchholz in S137 or at kimberly.buchholz@sfcollege.edu.

Site Leaders are also needed to serve as the main point of contact for students at each service site. Site Leaders attend training on campus at UF to prepare for the day of service, to learn how to successfully lead a group of volunteers, and facilitate post-service reflection. Registration will open mid-June for volunteer participation.  To register as a Site Leader, visithttp://www.leadershipandservice.ufl.edu/programs/days_of_service/summer_plunge/.
