Three Saints Sign with NCAA Schools

SF MEN'S BASKETBALL
Gainesville, FL – Three members of the Saints 2013-14 twenty two win team have made their decisions on where to continue their playing and academic careers, recently signing letters of intent with NCAA institutions.
Freshman guard Shea Jones has inked his LOI with NCAA Division I Jacksonville University. Jones will have three years of eligibility remaining. The Dolphins compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference under newly hired Head Coach Tony Jasick. They finished last season 12-18 overall and 8-10 in conference play.
As a freshman at Santa Fe, Jones averaged 8.3 points per game and a team high 3.6 assists per game.
Sophomore guard Jonathan Hood has signed with Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, KY), a 2014 NCAA Tournament participant. The Colonels, led by Head Coach Jeff Neubauer, competed against the University of Kansas Jayhawks and lost a tight game 80-69 in the round of 64. They were 24-10 in the regular season and won the Ohio Valley Conference tournament to earn their spot in the Big Dance.
Hood led the Saints in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds per contest.
Sophomore forward Jordan Banks has signed with Paine College, a NCAA Division II school in Augusta, Georgia. The Lions finished the season 17-13 overall and 10-7 in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Paine is coached by former Buchholz High School standout Jimmy Link, who will be entering his fourth season with the team.
Banks scored 4.6 points per game and was second on the team in rebounding with 6.0 boards per game, and nearly one block per game. As a freshman at SF, he averaged 5.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest.
