Pensacola, FL -  The Santa Fe Saints needed just one run on Saturday afternoon to get past MFC rivals Lake Sumter State College as Maddy Peres (16-8) handled the rest in the circle, holding the Lake Hawks to three hits over seven innings for her sixteenth win of the season.

The FCSAA #4 Saints (35-21) lone run came in the fourth inning when Celeste Bradshaw drove in Geena Capitini from first base with a double to the fence.

SF collected nine hits on the afternoon, including a 3-for-3 performance from Erin Marsh and a 2-for-3 day out of Bradshaw.  Santa Fe had chances late in the game to break it open but left the bases loaded in the fifth and sixth innings.

SF will move on in the winner's bracket to face Daytona State College at 5:00 PM CST (6:00 PM EST).  Daytona defeated Miami Dade 2-0 in round one.  The game, as well as every game of the tournament will be broadcast on www.psblive.com.
