November 12, 2013

The IMG Academy Ascenders (http://www.imgacademy.com/) were too much for the Santa Fe Saints on Tuesday evening, handing FCSAA #10 SF their third loss in a row by a score of 78-57.  IMG held the Saints scoreless for the first seven minutes of the game and had an 11-2 lead at the 12:57 mark.  SF (2-3) never recovered from their early shooting slump and finished just 29% from the field.

IMG's 6'3" twin sisters and Vanderbilt University commitments Khaleann and Audrey Ann Caron Goudrea were a tough matchup for the Saints in the paint.  The sisters finished with a combined 26 points and 25 rebounds.

SF was able to turn things around slightly in the second half, cutting the lead to as few as 11.  IMG answered with a 23-13 run over the final 15 minutes of the game to close out the victory.

IMG outrebounded the Saints 51-38 and forced 33 SF turnovers.  SF made six three pointers in the second half and finished the game with nine.

Ifti Dunne led SF with 12 points and Tori Baggett had 11.  The two teams will meet again in Bradenton on Dec.r 13.
