Starry Night Space Exhibit Nov. 15

On Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m., a partnership of Santa Fe College Astronomy, University of Florida Astronomy, the Florida Museum of Natural History, the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium, and the Alachua Astronomy Club, Inc. will present Starry Night 2013.
The event will be held at the Florida museum of Natural History and will be FREE and open to the public. There will be fun activities for all ages including:
- Professional astronomers answering questions
- Prizes such as tickets to the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium and astronomy items from NASA
- Featured speaker Dr. Rafael Guzman who will discuss UF's role in obtaining scientific results by the Gran Telescopio de Canarias (GTC): The Largest Optical Telescope on Earth.
- SPACE ROCKS! An exhibit in which you will be able to interact with real meteorites from space
- Astro-wall, a 3D display of the universe.
- Listening to radio waves emitted directly from the Milky Way
- Space art exhibit
- Using telescope to view space
- And much more!
Food and drinks will be provided by the High Springs Orchard and Bakery.
