Faculty and Staff Try Their Hand at Basketball

November 7, 2013

On Friday night at the season opening basketball games, Santa Fe faculty and staff members were invited to take part in a free throw shooting contest at half time of the women's game against East Georgia. Interim Vice President of Student Affairs Naima Brown led the charge and nearly ten members of our esteemed faculty and staff tried their hand at a shot (without any warmup!). The result was a fun and exciting time had by everyone.

"Student Affairs committed to bringing together faculty and students in environments outside of the classroom and office," said Dr. Brown. "Students get to see and converse with a different side of their instructors and faculty get to show support for the athletes while having a little fun."

The Athletics Department would like to once again thank the faculty and staff at the college for all that they do on a daily basis for our student athletes.

On Nov. 12 we would like to invite all faculty and staff to the women's game at 6:00 p.m. for "Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night". There will be food and drink at halftime for all that attend.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Scott.jamison@sfcollege.edu. We hope to see everyone there! Go Saints!
