Blood Donations Needed For Employee's Nephew

Jorge Tormes (Sr. Refrigeration mechanic, HARV) is requesting blood donations for his nephew, Logan Owens. Logan is 10 years old and has been in the hospital receiving blood transfusions since last Wednesday. Logan's blood type is A+ but all donations would help defray the cost for the family.

According to LifeSouth CommunityBlood Centers, this donation is called "Directed Blood Donation." Donors should tell blood center staff that they are making a directed donation for Logan Owens. Listed below are the two locations in Gainesville:

Donation hours: M/W/F 9 a.m.-5:30p.m. T/TH 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Donation hours: M/W/F 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. T/TH 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
