Educators From Around the World Convene in Orlando Oct. 2-5

A delegation of over 40 educators from Hong Kong and mainland China will join educators from the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Nepal for the 31 Annual World Conference of the International Alliance for Invitational Education (IAIE). Invitational Education is a theory of practice that provides a framework for safe and successful schools by establishing an intentional climate of respect, trust, optimism, and care.
Featured speakers include Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul & Mary fame, who is the Founder and President of Operation Respect that has been introduced to 32,000 schools worldwide, as well as noted Florida educator Rosanne Wood, retired principal of the acclaimed SAIL High School in Tallahassee, Florida. Other speakers include Dean Fink from Ontario, Canada, Jim Mahoney from Columbus, Ohio, and Peter Wong Kai Hung from Hong Kong, China.
IAIE founders Dr. William Purkey and Dr. Betty Siegel will be participating. There will be 26 breakout sessions, and special panels of Inviting School Award winners discussing how they have achieved their success.
IAIE is offering a special one-day discounted registration for Orlando area educators to attend on Friday, October 4 to hear Mr. Yarrow and Ms. Wood.
