Catholic Charities Pancake Breakfast Food Drive
Help stock the pantry shelves by donating nonperishable food in the S Building lobby now through August 27. Students interested in attending a Pancake & Bacon Breakfast to deliver donations are invited to travel by Student Life van to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Ave. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Space is limited. SGP Firefly Trivia NIghts
Student Government Programming will be having trivia night related to the Joss Whedon show "Firefly" every Friday starting June 28. There will be prizes for winners, popcorn and soda available. This event will be promoting Equality Now and the Pride Center in Gainesville. This event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Building S-29-30.

Join James Albury, co-host of the PBS TV Show "Star Gazers" (http://www.stargazersonline.org) as he takes you on a personally guided tour of our night sky, using our GOTO Chronos Space Simulator. Florida Skies is our weekly star show that familiarizes you with some of the popular constellations visible from sunset to sunrise, as well as the stories behind them. Tales of the Maya Skies - 7 p.m.
Tales of the Maya Skies is a digital fulldome show that immerses the audience in Mayan astronomy, art and culture through a custom score and visuals.  At the end of "Tales of the Maya Skies", PBS "Star Gazers" co-host James Albury will use our Chronos optical-mechanical projector to show the night sky and discuss why the world didn't end on December 21st, 2012, and why that day was so special for the Mayan culture.
