UF and Santa Fe College are usually quiet during summer B, but not this week. Check out these free events happening today and tomorrow.
Harn Museum Nights: Creative B, 6 - 9 p.m. Thursday, July 11 at Harn Museum of Art
Celebrating Creative B programming for the summer B term at UF, Museum Nights ask
you to Be Creative. Enjoy an evening of dance, art-making and music connecting with
the art on view including the new Winds of Change installation. The Harn Museum is
located on the UF campus near the corner of SW 34th St. and Hull Road (across from
the SW Rec Center and adjacent to Donald R. Dizney Stadium at the Florida lacrosse
facility).
Hemingway Scholars on Campus, 9 - 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12 at Lawrence W. Tyree Library
Celebrate the birthday and spirit of the Nobel Prize-winning American writer Ernest
Hemingway on the SF campus. Enjoy free coffee and pull up a chair as Philip Green
and Raul Villarreal, two contemporary authors who have intricate Hemingway connections,
share their research with SF students, faculty and staff. Honors students who attend
this talk will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.
Swampfest Music Festival, 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 12 at Flavet Field
UF Student Government Productions brings artists Matt & Kim, Cults and Ahmir to Swampfest!
Flavet Field is located near Fraternity Row and Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly
Stadium.
