Gainesville, FL – Three former Santa Fe Saints and one 2013-14 signee heard their names called during the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft last week.

Signee K.J. Woods (Ft. Mill HS, South Carolina) went in the fourth round to the Miami Marlins, the highest of all the players with SF ties selected.  He will have until July 12 to make a decision between professional baseball or attending Santa Fe.

Former Santa Fe pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (2011-12), currently a junior at Old Dominion University, was selected in the 20 round by the Milwaukee Brewers.  He will have until July 12 to decide between a pro career or a final year at ODU.

Pitcher Ricky Claudio, a member of the 2010 SF baseball team and currently a senior at St. Thomas University, was picked by the Seattle Mariners in the 27 round.

The final player selected was Kyle Buchanan (2012).  The junior at Florida Gulf Coast University was selected by the New York Yankees in the 40 round.  He will also have until July 12 to make a decision on a professional career or going back to FGCU.
