CLARK SIGNS WITH CALIFORNIA UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
Gainesville, FL – Sophomore forward Shanice Clark (Ontario, Canada) signed her letter of intent on Thursday with NCAA Division II power California University of Pennsylvania and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
As a sophomore, Clark averaged 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest. In 2011-12 as a freshman, she scored 4.1 points per game and pulled down 5.7 boards.
The Vulcans, coached by Jess Strom, finished the 2012-13 season with a 22-9 overall record and were 14-7 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. They advanced to the NCAA Division II regional finals where they fell by three points to Gannon University, just a game shy of the Final Four.
Clark is joining a Vulcan team that is losing only one player to graduation and should be poised for another deep run at the National Tournament in 2014.
