Ocala, FL – Josh Larson went the distance for the Santa Fe Saints on Saturday afternoon against the College of Central Florida, holding the Patriots to just one run over nine innings in the Saints 5-1 victory. The win snapped a five game losing streak for SF (24-15, 9-9 MFC).
Caleb Denmark put the Saints on the board first, knocking in a pair of runs in the third inning. CF cut the margin in half in the bottom of the third but Santa Fe rallied for two more runs in the fifth on a Jonathan Camp two RBI double to put SF up 4-1.
Colby Lusignan added an insurance run in the eighth with a RBI single and Larson handled business from there, shutting down the Patriots over the final two innings.
Casey Scoggins was the lone Saints with multiple hits, finishing 3-for-5. Denmark was 1-for-5 with two RBI and Camp was 1-for-5 with two RBI.
Santa Fe travels to Seminole State College on Monday for a Mid-Florida Conference match-up scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
