Sanchez Grand Slam, Claudio Three Run HR Lead Saints Past Daytona 5-2 and 3-0

Daytona, FL – The Santa Fe Saints won two more Mid-Florida Conference games on Thursday afternoon in Daytona, winning 5-2 and 3-0.  SF is now 26-11 overall, 11-1 in the Mid-Florida Conference and winners of 15 of their last 16 games.

Galis Lozada put the Saints on the board on game one with a RBI double in the fifth inning and Yanira Sanchez put the game away in the sixth with a grand slam to seal the 5-2 victory.

Karla Claudio picked up the win in the circle to improve her record to 11-5.

In game two Claudio provided all the offense, drilling a three run homer in the third.  Amber Maxey started in the circle and earned the win and Ashley Chapman picked up the save.

The Saints next games are at home against Florida State College-Jacksonville on Tuesday, April 2 at 2:30 and 4:30 PM.
