Gainesville, FL – Colby Lusignan continued his hot hitting on Friday afternoon against LaFleche College, hitting for the cycle while knocking in five runs in a 10-0 Santa Fe shutout.  He took care of the hard part of the cycle in his first at bat, tripling to center.  He then homered in his next at bat two innings later, followed that with a double in the fifth and completed the cycle in the seventh with a single. Lusignan has 18 hits (.450 BA) in his last nine game and 13 RBI over the same stretch.

Dylan Barrow started on the hill and pitched two scheduled innings, striking out four, before giving way to six relievers.  The seven SF pitchers combined to scatter six hits and strikeout 11.

The Saints (19-10, 4-4 MFC) scored one in the second to take an early lead and added two more in the fourth on a Lusignnan homerun and two in the fifth to go ahead 5-0.  They put the game out of reach in the seventh with five runs, led by a two run single from Lusignan and a single from Jonathan Camp.  SF scored the five runs on just three hits, benefitting from a wild pitch and an error.

Lusignan finished the game 4-for-5 with five RBI, Denmark was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a RBI, Jonathan Camp was 2-for-4 with two RBI and Casey Scoggins finished 2-for-4.

The Saints will take the weekend off and resume play next Wednesday, March 27 on the road against Daytona State College at 3:00 PM.
