Box Score 1, Box Score 2

Gainesville, FL – Ashley Chapman shut down the Bulldogs of Georgia Military College in game one of a double header Friday afternoon and Amber Maxey and Alysia Camelo combined on a three hit shutout in game two.  The Saints (17-10, 4-0 MFC) have now won six in a row and seven of their last eight.

Santa Fe took early control of game one, scoring two runs in the first on RBI singles by Karla Claudio and Aileen Fiallo.  They added two more in the fourth on an error and a Galis Lozada RBI single for the winning margin of 4-0.  Four runs of support were more than enough for Chapman who cruised to a shutout win.

Lozada was 2-for-4 with a RBI to lead the way in game one.

Amber Maxey picked up where Chapman left off, throwing four innings of hitless ball before giving way to Camelo.  Camelo shut out the Bulldogs the rest of the way, allowing three hits in three innings of work.

The Saints had only three hits in their 6-0 game two victory, but took advantage of four GMC errors.  They scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the third and two more in the fourth.

Erin Marsh, Galis Lozada and Alexis Camelo each had a hit for SF.

The Saints finish their three day homestand on Saturday when they welcome Seminole State College to Gainesville for a double header at 1:00 PM.
