Gainesville, FL – The Saints scored all four of their runs in the first inning and Kevin Martin handled the rest from there, allowing just two hits and two runs, one of them unearned.  The victory ends a three game conference losing streak for Santa Fe (16-10, 2-4 MFC) and stops the Lakehawks (18-9, 5-1 MFC) five game win streak to start MFC play.

Lake Sumter got on the board first, plating a run in the top of the first inning to jump ahead 1-0.  The Saints answered in a big way in the bottom of the inning, scoring four runs on four hits and a passed ball.  Colby Lusignan, Caleb Denmark and Jonathan Camp all knocked in runs.

Martin (6-0, 1.23 ERA) hit the first batter of the second inning, but then put away the next 19 batters in a row.  The Lakehawks tried to make things interesting in the eighth, plating one unearned run but Martin regrouped in the ninth and shut the door for the shutout win.

Lusignan led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a RBI, Jonathan Camo was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and a RBI, and Caleb Denmark was 2-for-3 with a RBI.
