February 19, 2013
The 46th annual Association of Florida Colleges Student Development Commission Spring Conference is only three months away. The theme this year is "Developing Tomorrow's Possibilities - Today."
The conference takes place May 14-16 at Pasco-Hernando Community College's West Campus in New Port Richey. Registration is $99 for AFC members and $149 for non-AFC members. Registration fees go up after April 24. The designated hotel for the conference is Homewood Suites in Port Richey. For room reservations, please call 727-819-1000 and mention "student development conference." Rates are $99 per night for a studio king.
We invite you to submit a proposal for a concurrent session at the conference. Each session will be one hour long, and you should plan for about 30 attendees per session. Presentations should represent best practices regarding student affairs topics facing college faculty, staff and students. The conference planning committee is seeking submissions from a diverse range of scholars, practitioners, faculty members, staff members, managers, directors, administrators, community leaders, consultants and business partners. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 15. All primary concurrent session presenters will be notified via email. To complete the online proposal form, please visit the conference website and click on the "Call for Presenters" link.
We look forward to welcoming you to Pasco-Hernando Community College and New Port Richey in May!
