President's Dinner Features Country Music Artist Lee Greenwood Feb. 22

This year's black-tie President's Dinner at Santa Fe College will honor veterans and showcase patriotism. Featured performer Lee Greenwood is known for his inspiring tributes to veterans and our country, and is sure to do justice to the dinner's theme.
"Each year we offer special appreciation to our generous private donors. In addition this year, we are opening this annual event to all our supporters in the community," said Santa Fe College President Jackson Sasser. "Lee Greenwood will assist in offering our gratitude and bring special recognition to our student veterans and all men and women who have served our country."
Greenwood will perform at the President's Dinner, Friday, Feb. 22 at the SF Fine Arts Hall, 3000 NW 83 St. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. followed by Greenwood's performance in the Grand Hall at 8:30 p.m.
Country music artist Greenwood has released more than 20 albums and had more than 35 singles on the Billboard country music charts throughout his career. Most notable is "God Bless the USA" which celebrates its 30 anniversary this year. According to his website, Greenwood wrote the song in response to the hurt and anger he felt following the downing of a Korean jet by Russian authorities, with 269 passengers aboard, including 63 Americans.
"God Bless the USA" instantly resonated with Americans, and over the past three decades the words of have stood as one of our country's most beloved anthems, embodying pride in America.
Tickets for the dinner with VIP show seating at the performance are $200 per person. Seating is limited. Tickets to the show only are $75 for orchestra and mezzanine levels, or $50 for balcony seating. Tickets are available online at sfcollege.edu/finearts or through the SF Box Office at 352-395-4181.
