Israeli Traditions - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 in E-Breezeway
If you would like to learn more about Israeli traditions, specifically Jewish holidays, visit the Jewish Student Union. They will provide informational pamphlets, as well as items related to synagogues, such as kippot, Shabbat candles and a tzedakah, among others.

8th Annual Veterans Award Night - 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Paramount Plaza Hotel
Join the SF Collegiate Veterans Society and the Florida chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) as they honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the Alachua County veteran community. The reception and cash bar will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner and awards will begin at 7 p.m.

Guest Speaker on Sex Trafficking - 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 in WA-104
Global Society will host guest speaker Dr. Richard Tovar, an SF adjunct faculty, who will be discussing sex trafficking. He is the current president and one of the founders of FIGHT (Fight Injustice and Global Human Trafficking, Inc.), which works to eradicate the demand for sex trafficking, as well as raise awareness and inspire people to take a stand against the nefarious trade. There will be a reception with refreshments. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet Dr. Tovar.

Documentary Film: "Sex & Money" - 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 in WA-104
There are an estimated 100,000 to 300,000 American children commercially sexually exploited each year in the United States. Global Society will screen "Sex & Money: A National Search for Human Worth," a film about domestic minor sex trafficking and the modern-day abolitionist movement fighting to stop it.
