Hunter, Saint-Germain Lead Saints Past St. Pete 71-61

St. Petersburg, FL - For the second time this season the Santa Fe Saints pulled out a victory over St. Petersburg College, this time on the road. Bobby Hunter led a strong effort, accounting to 26 points, five assists and six rebounds in the 71-61 SF win.
The Saints led by as many as 10 in the first half and took a 34-28 lead into the half time break.
St. Pete fought back in the second period and tied the score early on but Santa Fe answered and pulled away down the stretch for the win. The victory moves the Saints to 9-8 on the season.
Roody Saint-Germain scored a career high 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds to join Hunter in double figures.
The Saints travel to Tampa on Wednesday, January 9 to battle Hillsborough Community College at 7:00 PM.
