December 1, 2012
SF BASKETBALL – 12/1/2012
Marianna, FL – The Santa Fe Saints battled a tough Panhandle Conference opponent for the second day in a row at the Chipola Holiday Classic, falling to Tallahassee CC 82-63, moving SF to 5-4 on the season.
"The last two games were eye opening for us as a team," said SF Coach Chris Mowry. "We saw two of the best teams in the state and country. Hopefully our guys learned from these games and grew as players."
Tallahassee, looking for revenge after the Saints defeated them in Gainesville 86-85 earlier this season, jumped out to an early lead and took a 42-29 advantage into the halftime break.
The Eagles kept the pressure on and pulled away for the 19 point win.
Bobby Hunter led SF scorers with 16, Roody St. Germain had 11 points and eight rebounds and Deonte Moore scored 10.
Santa Fe will travel to Indian River State College on Tuesday, December 4 to battle the Pioneers at 7:00 PM in Ft. Pierce.
