Welcome Dr. Bea Awoniyi, Assistant VP of Student Affairs

Dr. Bea Awoniyi joins Santa Fe College today as the new Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs. In her new role, Dr. Awoniyi will serve as the Ombudsperson while also overseeing the Disabilities Resource Center and Student Affairs grants programs, which include Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, Student Support Services, Displaced Homemakers Program, CROP, and National Achievers.
Dr. Awoniyi holds a doctoral degree in Community College Leadership from Colorado State University. She joins SF after serving as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Student Disability Resource Center at Florida State University. She brings with her a strong commitment to student success, an enthusiastic passion for student engagement, many years of experience in Student Affairs (at both a university and a community college), proven success in grant-writing and grant management, esteemed service as a grant reviewer with the Department of Education, and the highest national award bestowed by the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).
Dr. Awoniyi will be housed in R-211. Please welcome her to the SF community.
