Baseball Takes Two on Sunday; Fastpitch Rained out Saturday

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe baseball team kept their undefeated fall ball record intact over the weekend, taking two games from Chet Lemon's Juice on Sunday afternoon 2-0 and 15-3.
SF took game one of the double header 2-0, scoring both runs in the third inning against pitcher and University of Florida commitment Tyler Danish of Durant High School. Andrew Fears and Colby Lusignan recorded the RBI for the Saints.
Five Santa Fe pitchers combined on a four hit shutout. Dylan Barrow started the game off with two clean frames and Kevin Martin, Derek Vail and Caleb Denmark finished it off.
In game two the Saints powered their way to a 15-3 win thanks in part to two doubles and five RBI from Josh Baber. SF drew eight base on balls in the contest to blow the game open. Courtney King also provided a spark with two hits.
Six pitchers made appearances in game two with Josh Larson the only Saint to throw two innings.
Baseball's next game is on Sunday, October 14 at 12:00 PM against the Orlando Reds. On Wednesday, October 17 SF takes on St. John's River State College at 2:0 0PM. The Saints defeated the Vikings 5-4 earlier in the fall.
Fastpitch: The Saints were rained out on Saturday, October 6 in Tampa against the University of South Florida. The games have been rescheduled for Sunday, October 14 at 1:00 PM.
Santa Fe will make the short trip across town to battle the University of Florida on Friday, October 12 at 5:00 and 7:00 PM. Admission is free at Pressly Stadium.
