September 25, 2012

The Office of Civic Engagement and Service and the Student Life Business Office in conjunction with the Florida Campus Compact's 2012 Campus Democracy Project are proud to host Money Talks at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 25 in R-01.

Join UF's Dr. Michael Gutter and SF's Maureen McFarlane and Teresa Lanier for a discussion on the importance of understanding our economy and how it affects your money. Ask questions, gain understanding, and establish a more proactive approach to your student finances. Make your questions count. Make your voice heard! Food and a t-shirt provided for all participants.

Dr. Michael Gutter is an Assistant Professor and Financial Management State Specialist for the Department of Family, Youth, and Community Sciences, in the Institute for Food and Agricultural at the University of Florida. Gutter is the current Vice President of the Florida Jumpstart Coalition and serves on the editorial boards for the Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Consumer Education, and the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning.

Florida Campus Compact's 2012 Campus Democracy Project does not endorse any candidate or political party. This non-partisan initiative seeks to promote civil and issue based dialog, increase civic participation at Florida's institutions of higher education, and inspire leadership and civic responsibility for conscientious citizenship in a participatory democracy."
