SF Commemorates 9/11 with Lighting Display

September 13, 2012

The Fine Arts Department's Event Lighting Design class installed this lighting project on the east side of the Fine Arts Hall on the evening of 9/11. The class, taught by Liz Reynolds, studies how lighting can transform a space for special events and occasions. Students' work will be displayed on Santa Fe buildings all throughout the semester.

Liz Reynolds designed this display to commemorate 9/11 with the use of twin beams of light shooting up the building, supported by the colors of the American flag. Students Kyle Musson and Erin Tucker assisted in the project.

Liz Reynolds dedicates this display to her brother, an army veteran who spent two tours in Iraq.
