Super Scout Science Volunteers Needed

May 10, 2012

Super Scout Science: A day of science and art activities for Girl Scouts of all ages.
8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, May 19
At the Cade Museum Lab, 904 South Main St., Gainesville

Volunteers are needed for the Super Scout Science event at the Cade Museum Lab May 19. It will be a fun day, getting Girl Scouts excited about S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). Volunteers are needed to help facilitate a variety of science and art activities from painting t-shirts, to making super-bounce balls and more. No previous science knowledge is required– just enthusiasm!

Lunch, snacks, and lots of water and Gatorade for our volunteers will be provided throughout day. Some activities will take place in the air-conditioned laboratory, while other (messier) activities will be outside, under a tent. T-shirts and aprons will be provided to save your clothes from getting too messy, but please dress for messy activities.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Jessica Belcoure: jbelcoure@cademuseum.org or 325-371-8001.
