City Looks to Have Santa Fe College Take Over GTEC

To Gainesville officials, the county's first technology incubator is at a crossroads.
Now, they are considering a change in leadership and a broader approach to help the city-owned Gainesville Technology and Enterprise Center make the economic impact initially sought when it opened 10 years ago.
City and Santa Fe College officials are in talks for the college to take over the operation and management of GTEC as an extension of the college's existing business incubator in downtown Gainesville - the Center for Innovation and Economic Development.
