'Party for the Planet' Draws Hundreds to Santa Fe Zoo
April 16, 2012
People usually go to the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo to watch exotic animals like the white-handed gibbon. But at Party for the Planet on Saturday, it was the gibbons that were the watching the people.
The primates stared with fascination, and maybe a little bit of envy, as the children who attended the first day of the two-day Party for the Planet played on the zoo's new playground, said Tarah Jacobs, a conservation education specialist and organizer of the event.
