SG Students Represent at FCSSGA in St. Pete

Fourteen students from Santa Fe representing every branch of the student government traveled to St. Petersburg, FL for the Florida College System Student Government Association (FCSSGA) state conference last week.

Highlights of the conference include the election of Santa Fe students to state and district e-board positions within FCSSGA. Teka Williams was elected state secretary, Jacoby Moore was elected to state jurisprudence, Jeremy Redford was elected as the District 4 coordinator, and Javan Brown was elected as District 4 jurisprudence.

SF Engineering student LaNiece O'Steen presented two educational sessions on writing bills and resolutions and Director of Student Life Dan Rodkin presented on "Dealing with Institutional Politics" in addition to a session for the Leadership Certificate program.

And last but not least, the students placed 3 in the FCSSGA talent show with a coordinated dance routine.
