Coney Named All State, Six Other Saints All-Conference

CONEY NAMED ALL-STATE, SIX OTHER SAINTS ALL-CONFERENCE
Gainesville, FL – Sophomore point guard Stephenie Coney was honored by the Florida College System Activities Association as a member of the All-State Women's Basketball team for her efforts on the court in 2011-12. She was also voted to the Mid-Florida Conference First Team.
Coney averaged a team high 12.9 points per game and chipped in three rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest. She is the seventh player under Chanda Stebbins to earn All-State honors. Previous to Stebbins tenure, just six players were All-State.
Joining Coney on the MFC First Team is fellow sophomore and Miami native Stephanie Edwards. Edwards averaged 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and two steals per game.
MFC Second Team: forward Cassandra Brown and guard Tiara Thompson.
MFC Honorable Mention: guard Alexis Fitts, forward Taybreanna Couch and forward Lonna Turner.
