SAINTS OPEN MID-FLORIDA CONFERENCE PLAY AGAINST DAYTONA ON FRIDAY, MARCH 2 AT 3:00 PM
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints take their FCSAA #1 and NJCAA #6 rankings into Mid-Florida Conference play on Friday, March 2 when they open up at home against Daytona State College at 3:00 PM.
The Saints (16-6) are winners of the last three MFC titles and pitcher Brad Markey (3-2, 1.44 ERA) will look to get them headed in the right direction for number four against DSC at home on Friday. Lefty Ryan Yarbrough (4-0, 0.55 ERA) takes the ball on Saturday when Santa Fe travels to Daytona State for a 1:00 PM game.
Drew Doty leads the Saints offense with a .413 batting average, eight doubles and 17 RBI. Yarbrough heads up a pitching staff allowing their opponents to hit just .233 against them. He enters MFC play with a 4-0 record and a 0.55 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 33 innings pitched.

The Athletics department's annual March of Dimes fundraiser also kicks off on March 2. Donations will be accepted throughout the month of March. Prizes including official Saints baseball hats and t-shirts, softball shorts, sweatshirts, and many other prizes that will be awarded to a few lucky donors. Help us support the March of Dimes as they continue to save baby's lives.
