SAINTS JUMP TO #12 IN THE NJCAA POLL
Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (24-4, 9-2 MFC) have played through more than their fair share adversity this season, including losing three starters to season ending injuries, but it hasn't slowed their ascent up the national poll. The latest National Junior College Athletic Association poll has the Saints climbing eight spots to #12.
Things can get even better for Santa Fe if they pull out a win on Saturday, February 25 at St. John's River State College. A victory would secure them a spot in the Florida College System Activities Association State Tournament and at least a share of the Mid-Florida Conference title. The game against SJRSC tips-off at 4:00 PM in Palatka.
The FCSAA State Tournament runs from March 7-10 and takes place at Chipola College in Marianna, FL. The winner of the eight team tournament advances on to play at the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
