Know B4 U Go Event
February 20, 2012
The Alachua County Health Department will offer free rapid HIV tests, sexual health information and condoms, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 in S-29. HIV test results are confidential and will be ready within 20 minutes of taking the test. Professor Naima Brown, of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Nurse Bruce Major, of the SF Student Health Care Center, jointly coordinate this event each semester so students have an opportunity to get tested before going on break. Students may be less likely to engage in risky behaviors if they are aware of their HIV status. Know B4 U Go is sponsored by the Alachua County Health Department, the SF Student Health Care Center, and Student Life.
